Potencia Ventures

Since 2014, Occam has worked with Potencia Ventures, which invests in the US and Latin America in venture capital funds and mission-driven start-ups with a focus on education and employability businesses that serve low-income communities.

Oregon Community Foundation

Since 2014, Occam has supported what is now the Oregon Impact Fund, a $33 million fund that supports lending intermediaries, non-profits, and mission-driven for-profits in economic vitality, affordable housing, health, education and sustainable natural resources.

Since 2020, Occam has led the impact investing program for Hawaii Community Foundation, focused on affordable housing, economic development, climate and food systems. In addition to investments, Occam has led a grant-funded capacity building program for Hawaiian community development financial institutions.

Silicon Valley Community Foundation

In 2023, Occam was engaged to advise on Silicon Valley Community Foundation’s Integrated Capital Program, which supports financial stability, affordable housing, environment & food systems and early childhood. The program invests in local organizations while also proactively insourcing regional and national lenders to the region.
